Supercrawl + Tiger-Cats = Home Field

New Concert Event Welcomes Billy Talent to Tim Hortons Field

Hamilton’s iconic live entertainment brands Supercrawl Productions and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats proudly announced today that they have teamed up to present Home Field, an incredible day of music taking place on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the West Side Studio at Tim Hortons Field.

A landmark concert event, Home Field welcomes Warner Music Canada recording artists and seven-time JUNO Award winners Billy Talent. The Mississauga band’s explosive headlining performance will be one of their final Canadian live dates of 2017.

Billy Talent is currently touring in support of Afraid of Heights, their new studio album. The album, the band’s first in five years, topped the Canadian Nielsen Soundscan Top Albums chart upon its release last July, marking the fourth consecutive #1 album for the group. In addition to that domestic success, Afraid of Heights also debuted in the top spot in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In the 13 years since their inception, Billy Talent have sold nearly one million albums in Canada alone and nearly 3 million albums internationally.  Their albums Billy Talent I and II and III have all received multi-platinum certifications, with platinum status for the last studio album Dead Silence. The band has enjoyed tremendous success at Canadian rock radio where they have had three #1 hits that combined for 20 weeks at the top spot, six Top 5 hits, and six Top 10 hits.

Support for Billy Talent will be provided by a host of electrifying rockers. Dynamite rock 'n' roll trio and fist-pumping stage phenomenon Danko Jones provide direct support. The band, now in its 21st year in the spotlight, has carved out a hard-earned reputation as a high-intensity act, and unleashed a barrage of rock manifestos, from their self-titled 1998 debut on Sonic Unyon Records to 2017’s Wild Cat (eOne).

Legendary pop-punk stars Teenage Head and all-star hardcore squad Rules kick things off.

Tickets to Home Field range in price from $35 to $99 plus applicable fees and charges. Presales will begin Tuesday, April 18 at 10:00am EDT and will go on sale to the general public at 10:00am EDT on Thursday, April 20 through Ticketmaster.

Leveraging the production strengths of powerhouse event partners Supercrawl Productions and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Home Field will host a lineup of award-winning local musicians, and welcome audiences to discover a state-of-the-art venue in the heart of Hamilton.

This will be the inaugural event hosted by the West Side Studio at Tim Hortons Field — a transformation from full stadium to an intimate 7,000-capacity west-stand venue with unparalleled sight lines and exceptional production values.

Home Field builds on a successful concert partnership that the two organizations began around the 2016 Labour Day Classic, where Supercrawl produced a showcase concert as part of WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton, drawing a capacity crowd. Home Field will be the first full-scale concert hosted by Tim Hortons Field since 2014.

Home Field also builds on the strengths of community. Just as Supercrawl is rooted in the city’s Central and Beasley neighbourhoods, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are champions of the Stipley neighbourhood that surrounds the stadium and is the bedrock of the football franchise.

Home Field is made possible with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation.
