Engage with the Arts at Supercrawl 2016

There’s no better way to understand Hamilton’s incredible arts story than to experience it first-hand at Supercrawl 2016. This year, for the first time, visitors can get up close and personal with the Hamilton arts community by engaging in a number of free and ticketed events taking place on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, as part of a Supercrawl collaboration with Tourism Hamilton:

  • FREE Guided Walking Tours of James Street North from multiple perspectives
  • FREE Artist demonstrations designed to provide a ‘taste’ of various art disciplines

  • Historic Walking Tour: In George Hamilton’s Footsteps (including lunch)
  • Artist-led, hands-on workshops that immerse participants in the art of creating. Take your creation and your fond memories home with you

The walking tours, demonstrations and workshops will be presented at various locations:

These events were developed in partnership with Centre[3] for Media Arts and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.

In the fall of 2015, Tourism Hamilton collaborated with Supercrawl in a joint promotional campaign to increase public engagement at the event, and to pilot a Product Development Project focusing on The Arts sector. Further partnership was secured with the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation in the form of matching funding.

Please visit www.tourismhamilton.com/supercrawl for detailed program information and to purchase workshop tickets. Space is limited, so buy early to avoid disappointment.
